Hi,
Sorry you are the first using NC-Hops en DXF import,
I tried to call Holzer for information, but they ignored my request because I wasn’t one of their clients,
They also told me that they needed the number of the machine and that there was a charge for technical service.
I invite you to contact them directly to ask “Is there a specific coding for multi-passage in the name of DXF layers?”
For groove in the PP layer name you should have something like “RT_TT<t=5>_L” or “RT_TT5_L”
“5” number calling the tool in your librarie and just need to edit this number

Hi Alex, I have for Grove a bit 1/4 how I can add another bit for a groove 3/4?
Do you have someone that knows Polyboard and NC-HOPS to help me with multipass? Because I can’t cut jobs properly and I have other issues to. I would be very grateful if you could help me because I’m having a hard time and I need help.

Hi,
We talk about this with Michel yesterday , with starting point…
this possible from PB or, by Multi-Pass Layer coding
But PDF, don’t mention this setup or if it was available from DXF…
For now your are the first NC-Hops user we have using DXF import, All other having Nesting function in NC-Hops, and work with *.Hops files directly and done Nesting from them

Hi Alex,
Both files can be imported, however there is no multipass taking place with any of them. I am not sure if this helps but in NC-Hops it is only one variable in mm called (_AT_MAXDEPTH) that needs to be changed at the SP (starting point) of for each milling operation. When using 8, 16 or any other value here, the multipass operation works, but the DXF is not recognizing this variable or perhaps there is something else.
Holzher seems to be a standard CNC go to in EU. Have you guys integrated any other Holzher equipment? What else can we try to get this multipass issue resolved?
I appreciate the help!

Hello,
Can you test these two files without panels on your CNC and tell me if there are several cuts?
The first directly from PB and the second from PB to ON
but in CAD, both have several passes so there could be a limit on the part of the CNC.
Thanks, Alex

Hi,Your last files look to be at 8mm not a 16mm, but should work 😉

I appreciate it. Not sure where to check but I assume the DXF is correct in this case? I don’t have a way to see the file with more than one layer as you show but the NC-Hops doesn’t do more than one pass and that happens at exactly the same depth as set in the PP. If we remove this setting it will cut the entire depth of the finished part.
Could this be related to a DXF import or export issue from Optinest? Any other recommendations?
