Hi Jamie,
Your stair looks good. You can add a wreathed rail in which case you’ll also have to build a wreathed string.
You should be aware that this will add a lot of time to the design and build.
Of course this will also impact the price of the project. The extra time will depend on your skills and experience as well as the tools and method that you’ll use to build these parts. Therefore it will be impossible for us to tell you how much extra you’ll have to add.
If you have no experience in wreathed parts, you’ll also need to buy some 1 to 1 training so that we can take the time to coach you throughout the design process.
In all cases can you start a new thread for this project so that it doesn’t get mixed with you last project?
In the meantime you’ll have to decide how you are going to build the part so have a look at the articles on building wreathed parts here:

Hi Jamie,Of course we can assist you in designing your stair and 2 weeks should be enough to get a price for you client.
However, wreathed rails and strings maybe a bit more tricky and time consuming.
Can you post a plan of the stair so we can take a look?
all the best,
Ness
thanks ness,
because of the tight stairwell, I am thinking maybe a wreathed handrail is’t going to work after all. have a look anyway ad let me know what you think

Hi ness,
its been over a year now since we chatted about a stair project and now I have another in the planning stages.
are you available to assist me in generating plans for a quarter turn stair? I have appox. 2 weeks to get a price to the client. Is this enough time? I can build the stair no problem if I use a newal post on the inside corner but I feel this would be a great opportunity to make a wreathed handrail and stringer for which I would need your assisitance.

Hi Jamie,
We can’t really send you a refund but as I was away from the office and a bit long in answering for this project, I suggest we just leave your StairFile purchase as credit for your next stair.
All the best,
Ness
Hi Ness,
I appreciate you work into staircase for me; however i am basically done the stair already. I was not able to wait for the drawings. I look forward to sending you more drawings and i will definitely get them to you a couple of weeks before i need them.
I guess because i have already paid for them then you can can send them anyway or if i can get a refund that would be good to. I do have another stair in the pricing stage; maybe there’s a chance i can get drawings for that stair instead. let me know and thanks

Michel has done a great job on optimising this stair for Jamie.
I really like his design tweaks.
I have just created a version that pushes the spindles vertically up into the handrail rather than being double beveled.
As they are metal I supposing that this will be easier.
To give a lighter effect, I would make the stings a little narrower than 250mm ie 200mm but this is no big deal you can certainly do as you want.
If this design suits you I can process the files.
All the best,
Ness

Hi Jamie
Also had a look at the joints. I changed them and make it more efficient for the build an view.
I made tenons with lateral , upper and lower recess. In stairbuilding these are not specific for strength but more for exact positioning. Offcourse they are stonger dan a butted connection. They do not have to go that deep. I put it on 15mm depth. This will ease the build. As you are using screws on the backside this wil make it strong.
regards
Michel
