Hi Vidar
here is a first stair and floorplan
I see no issue on the headroom as the space above the steps is free or where do you see the issue?
I shortened the stair to make both flights the same width and added a landing step with a riser on top to cover the floor joist.
You asked a stair width of 935 but did you take into account the newel post who is overshooting the stair on the handrail side? You also need sufficient spacing between the handrail and the side of the floor joist on ceiling height to assure a continuous grip.
What is the actual reel width of the stairwell?
The last point is the arrival of the stair. Is that an open space where the newel is situated? As you can see i set the newel half on the floor level to assure a good connection point with the floor.
About the 42mm. Is that the finished thickness? What shape do you need for the handrail and the bannisters? I based myself on the lower stair to design.
Let me know your findings
Regards
Michel

Hi Vidar,
I need from you all the needed information
measurements
pictures of what you like to have and pictures of the actual stairwell.
specifics that you need on the stair, like the needed sizes of components.
Once you have sen me this I will be able to start and revert with a first model that we then can discuss and adjust further
regards
Michel
Hi just bought the design service. I was thinking of building a quarter turn stair but I have some issues with the headroom/staircase so I think it would be better to start the stair with a landing if that is possible then just a straight stair. Stringers on both side and railing and newel post to the right. Floor height is 2560 mm length is 3780 mm. Will be using 42 mm oak for treads without risers and 42 mm stringer board. With of the stair is 9350 mm Vidar
