Nice to see I’m a full member now
With som help from your videos I have managed to make a bottomrail to my handrails, very nice. A much harder issue for me is to buy StairFile Pro as I’m redirected to Designe Templates Special Offer page when I press Join Now button. Probobly is there a link somewhere wich I don’t see :-S
One question maybe could be in place before I buy Pro. Will I be able to build my stair with the 66x315mm gluelam without to much arrangements?

Hi Petra,
It looks like your Full member registration didn’t complete fully. This sometimes happens when upgrading from Free to Full…you need to register for Full using your existing Free username and password.
Don’t worry though, I’ve sorted that out for you, so you should be able to access the Member Services page fine now.
All the best,
Stefan
Thanks for your very fast answer and kind support,
I tried to order StairFile Pro but I was denied access. Have I missed something which I need to do?
Regarding the shown length of the newelposts is this by purpose or just something that happend and is the bottomrail an function inStairDesigner I just didn’t found?
Best Regards

Hello Petra,
Thanks for posting the details your project.
It looks a great stair project that will be fun to make.
I have tweaked a bit your design.
I’ve made the cut strings deeper and added a bottom rail but I suggest that you use our a StairFile Pro service so that I fully review your project and send you the correct sizes for the wood.
Here’s picture of a suggested design:
Unfortunately we don’t yet have a supplier in Sweden.
Hope this is helpful,
Ness
Hi,
I’m starting up a project at home which will move around some functions in the house..
First thing I need to do is a new staircase and I must say I love StairDesigner. Earlier I have only made straight stairs which is a little bit easier to draw by hand.
Now I have some limitations to take notice in and I want a staircaise which is not so heavy. This i why I have chosen a design with cut strings. I have added a sketch where a window, radiator and doorhole (if the strings has cut the upper right corner a little bit it is ok) are shown in the corner where the stair should be placed. The floor to floor measure is for now aprox 2870mm as the hole has not been taken yet. Before we make the hole we would like to be sure that we will be able to build the stair with the material we easy can buy. As fars as I can figure out I think I cant see the measures of the cut strings I think I have to bother you with this before I’m ready to make the real drawings.
For the strings I can buy gluelam (is this the right translation?) 66×315 and for the steps I think 40mm gluelam oak would be ok. I had a plan to buy strings and steps precutted but there is nobody who want to provide me with this so…I have to do my best with what I have. I have seen your suggestion of false gluelam for the “oddshaped” straigt stair in Norway but I’m not sure I can work that solution out.
I have added Newels, handrail and bannisters and by purpus tried prevent penetration in steps as I think I will add these at the end of the stairbuilding when I can see the actual design live. For instance I think the bannisters shall be mounted in a bottom rail and not in the stairs.
So at this moment I have two questions:
*Can you help me with the measure of the strings so I know if they would fit in with what I can buy, actually a yes or no would do
* Do you eventually have a approved supplier who can help me with precut wood in south Sweden?
Was this to much questions to fit in under Full Membership, do I need to upgrade further more?
Best Regards
Petra
