Hi Darshan,

Hi Darshan,
to reduce the gap between the steps to max 100mm you have to enter a lower offset in the risers of -100. This will open up the steps to max 100mm gap. I attached the stair as example. Is it this what you want ?
The reason why you cannot align the right stringer 1 in the middle of the newels 2 and 3 is because you have offset the newels.
To get it aligned you should reduce the flight width 30mm and remove 30mm offset of the newels. This will align the string-board with the newels and the total width remains the same
Yes we can generate the dxf files once you agree with the stair-drawing. We send you all needed documents for it but be sure of your drawing as we only send 1 set of docs free per month
Now some questions
Why did you recess the risers 30mm from the left and right side ?
You have not added any landing step. Is there any reason for this ?
Why do you have newel post 1 and 3 overlapping each-other like that. This is an error. Please explain
You have no riser on the first step ???
I do not really understand your point on the handrail LHR ??? Explain more in detail please
regards
Michel
Thank you Michel for your inputs.
However, the design has been agreed with the building inspector I would not want to make any changes to the design file. I would very much appreciate if I could generate the DXF files for as per my stair-drawing.
Also could please put me in contact with one of your supplier.

I had built a mock up of an open stair case (no risers} in soft wood in order to get the approval of the
local building regulator (see photos). It can be made useable with additional features but I want to
build it in hardwood (Sapele). I have replicated the design in Stair Designer 7.05b and the file is attached.
The material library does not list Sapele so I selected Mahogany but Sapele is my preference.
The stair case description is below together with my questions.
1 Stair design layout has been approved so I do not want to change it.
2 Open Steps. Hence no risers. But to meet the requirement of no more than 100mm gap between the steps I
want to fill the riser gap with mini spindles (same design as the main spindles). To meet the requirement
of overlap of the steps (minimum 15mm)I have selected risers in the software following settings:
30mm thickness, no priority and recess of 30mm in the link setting for Strings and Newel Posts.
The material for the risers was set to glass for transparency to view in 3D,.
3. I could not move the Right Stingboard 1 to be in the middle of the Newel Post 2 and 3
(the software does not allow offset from the well edge, the only option is within or outside the stair well).
I think this could be corrected in the manufacturing drawings together with consequential reduction in the
length of Step 6 and 7.
4. I would like LHR Handrail 32mm wide groove 44x60 and the main and the mini spindles in something like
Devon. Can these design included in the DXF files?
5. I would prefer to outsource cutting and machining the parts and deliver the parts.
6. Would you be able to produce the DXF files that I could see the parts list and drawing
before being sent out to the supplier.
I would very much appreciate your assistance in this matter.
