Hi Stig,
Yes, I’m sure that the back of the pockets are extended 28mm, I’m not sure why this came about.
If the stairs are painted filling in the pockets is certainly easier to do.
You’ll have to see directly with Stefan for compensation.
All the best,

Hi Sig,Sorry to get back so late but I have been away this last week.
It seems that the step housings in the dxf parts are extended 28mm on the back edge.
This has only appeared in the sting dxf files and could be a configuration error in the dxf set up.
The only explanation I can see is that I’ve forgot to re-set the dxf config after using StairDesigner for another client, so I do apologize for this.
As the housing are already routed out, to fill the extra hole, I would suggest gluing to the back edge of the steps, either a continuous batten:
or 2 gussets :
Both solutions should work and give an elegant finish.
Sorry again about my mistake,
All the best,
Ness
Hi,
Well, the stringboards are gonna be painted, so i guess it will be less work to fill 28mm of the back of the step-pocket.
Are you sure it is the back of the pocket that is extended ?
And…dont you think this is a money-back issue for the stair-file?
thx
Stig

Hi Ness,
I cut out all of the parts a while ago, and today i was about to fit them all together.
But…. All pockets in the stringboards ( for steps) is approx 28mm too wide !! And when i now check the drawings, i see the steps will not fit… How could this happen ?
