Hi Mike,
From your Stairdesigner drawing you haven’t got enough room to have 2 steps leading into a quarter turn landing.
You can’t take away the handrail from only a section of the stair. You can take away the spindles this leaves the handrail which can just be ignored in the cutting lists.
None of your stairs have landing steps, is there a reason for this?
I always suggest that you use a landing step when possible.
The position of the last post will also depend on how you want to set up the assembly details with the railing on the landing.
Have you read my ebooks on stair design you’ll find some information on setting up landing steps and posts.
I would suggest that you buy a full StairFile Pro so that I can look in detail at your project.
All the best,
Ness

Hi Ness I have another set to do with a landing turning the other way this time. there are two steps up to the landing and a handrail on the left side all the way to the top. The handrail on the right only goes to the top of the landing, there is a wall the rest of the way. Cant seem to get the rail out of only part of the run. I have attached the draft for you to have a look at. At the top on the left there is a railing coming across a loft that meets up with the rail from the stairs. Here I would need a full newel post.
