Hi everyone, we recently had a question about the integration of Altendorf CNC saws with OptiCut. We have quite a few customers using these together, we’re happy to say the integration works extremely well. The image below shows one of the 2 post processors built into OptiCut for Altendorf; Altendorf 2 is shown in fact:

The other post processor is called Altendorf 1. The 2 different options relate to 2 different generations of the Altendorf controller, but since Altendorf 1 is quite old, normally you would be using Altendorf 2.

The post processor is set up to work out of the box, no configuration is necessary.

However, the below screen shot illustrates some settings specific to the Altendorf saws, including an option related to the priority between the rip fence and the crosscut fence depending on the part size.
