I think I am going to go with the corner L shaped unit and make them as one unit rather than butting two cabs up. I’ll use the surface split command to get away from having the corner pieces as individually cut L shaped pieces as I get all my stuff cut by a sawmill and they won’t cut shapes.
I’ll then see if I can figure out using my router to do biscuits slots etc to join the pieces at there corner. Failing that might just dowel them or even use pocket hole jig and fill and paint! Probably a job for the domino eh but I don’t have one yet.

Hi Terry,
Of course, you can mix any shaped cabinet in Project mode.
The shelves in the L-shaped are by default cut L-shaped.
If you want to make them out of 2 parts use the Surface split command.
Whether you make the cabinets turn a corner with an L-shaped cabinet or 2 assembled rectangular one depends on what you want to do.
The L-shape will be on unit. You can cut it into 2 and add assembly details to join them together.
2 separate cabinets can be butted up against one another but you’ll have no assembly details.
Can you post a sketch or photo of how you want your cabinets to look?

Ive been asked to make a Tv entertainment area. The base cabinet is a box cabinet that goes along one wall and finishes in the corner. Straightforward. Above it the clients want Dvd and Cd storage cabinets which will sit directly on the base cabinet. These upper cabinets will need to turn the corner in an L-shape and return above the base cabinet at a 90 degree angle.
Ive played around with the L-shape option in polyboard, I’m struggling to figure how things work. Is there a video detailing the L-shape cabinet options and turning corners. If I add shelves etc the an L shape cab are they one piece of joined etc? Can I mix up L-shape cabs with standard box cabs in project mode? Is this the best way to turn corners with polyboard or should i just make to standard units and butt them up?
Any help would be appreciated.
