Hi Matt,
Sorry I forgot to answer your questions about membership.
Membership includes processing 1 StairFile lite and 1 CabinetFile lite per month.
Extra StairFile lite cost £27 and CabinetFile lite £17
Thanks for the WP tips!
My associate Stefan runs this side of things.
I’ll tell Stefan and we’ll look at them when he gets back from holiday next week.
All the best,
Ness

Hi again,
There are no daft questions, just daft answers.
If you are using Quick Design libraries the draw bottoms material is set to 130-drawer bottoms.
You can just set the material thickness to 6mm.
If you want the drawer bottoms to be another material by default :
Go to libraries>sub-methods>material styles.
select “default” and then in the settings select “drawer bottoms” and use the drop down list to select the default material.
If you are not using Quick Design :
select the default style and then click the green Plus sign to add a material.
Set the dialogue box up like this:
Now all new projects will start with the default style and drawer bottoms.
In reality you might be better off designing with Quick Design default materials, and using an existing or setting up a new method with the construction materials.
All the best,
Ness
Howdy Ness,
Thats it!
And then I worked out that I needed similar settings for the sub-method > boxful as well.
Most helpful, thank you!
Also a couple of daft questions also around the membership.
- What happens if I want two projects in a specific month? (I believe the membership only includes one?)
- You mention the “plans and cutting lists”, what about the layout on sheets of 8×4 (2440x1220mm) or 4×4 (as that fits in the car more easily!)?
Thanks Matt
PS. I just so happen to run a large community using WP & WLM myself.
A couple of WP plugins you’ll want to consider:
EDIT: link no longer active
Free: This hides the top WP admin bar, so I don’t see the comments that have been left via the WP dashboard. When adding this you’ll also want to switch the WP menu to link to a Login or logout page, so users can login or logout.
EDIT: link no longer active
Paid: Allows you to put the WLM registration widget into pages easily and cut down on the number of fields a user has to enter. Also works great in popups too!
EDIT: link no longer active
Again paid for and you’ll see my quote on their homepage. I wish I knew about that one 18 months ago, it doubled our registrations overnight because it made it miles easier for them to join. Note: Don’t bother with Twitter, you won’t get their email address which hampers email marketing.
EDIT: link no longer active
Free. Use this to use Mandrill (see here EDIT: link no longer active, it’s free for up to 12,000 emails per month) and is the same company as MailChimp, but for transactional emails.
And I wrote a couple of other bespoke ones, such as a direct integration into InfusionSoft (a CRM) and another to WooCommerce as WLM has no invoicing built in, grrrrrr.
Oh and look up “Sensei” by Woo. We soon grew out of using WLM and pages to manage content with +300 tutorials over multiple courses and it works well with WLM if you use their tags.

When applied to a cabinet this is what you get:
If you would like me to make you a video please consider signing up for full membership.
With full membership send us your Polyboard project file and we will send you all the plans and cutting lists.

Howdy,
A daft question
I’ve worked out that you can use the “Groove” settings for specific shelves via the links on the left & right sides.
However, how can I apply this as a default to the left & right of horizontal shelves (5mm either side) and to vertical division (5mm top & bottom) as a manufacturing method?
Matt
