Ive just set the view default to plan which works fine. One click into 3d views is easy enough.

Hi Terry,
In Project mode the position of the cabs in 3D space are listed in the Propertises list on the right.
Just select the cab and set the Z to 0.
I show a bit about this in this video on Adding Cabinet in Project Mode.
If you insert in a plan view, cabs will usually come in at Z=0.
If you insert using an isometric view there is some abiguity about the real insertion height and the cab might try to clip to points that are not on z=0, so you might have to reset it.

Ive created a floor and wall in project mode. Sometimes when I drop a cabinet into project mode it drops under the floor
is there a quick solution? and I doing something wrong. This is the first time I’ve encountered it. It doesn’t do it when I clip
the cabinet to the wall area but I’m trying to design an island unit in the middle it only seems to do it when I drop it to the middle of the room. The cabinet does not have a plinth.
